Prime member here. Amazon really makes it difficult to achieve satisfaction when they screw up.
First error - Their automated tool called out the wrong wiper blade replacement for my wife's car, which I ordered as she was at work & couldn't measure. They correctly shipped this wrong part so I'd have to pay $7 in return shipping to be credited $11 for the part. 2nd error was today: received one of a pair of sharpening stones sold as a pair. Box was intact but no packing slip/receipt and no second stone in the box. The product description definitely refers to them as being sold as a pair: http://www.amazon.com/Spyderco-204D-Diamond-Triangle-Pair/dp/B000WUKFBM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390452165&sr=8-1&keywords=sharpmaker+diamond but in the automated return tool the description changes to "1 of a pair", ie a single rod. WTF??
I think I'm going to scale back the amount of business I do with them, and it's been substantial since I Primed up before Christmas. |

I had a Christmas gift get delayed in the ups meltdown. Amazon gave me a $20.00 gift card.
I sent each of my nephews a 50.00 amazon gift card for Christmas , amazon gave me a $10.00 thank you coupon code. I bought a roku from amazon so I can watch tv shows and movies for free because I'm a prime member. I think I'll renew in February! Hang in there man... |

I've never had issues with their customer service. I use them all the time between personal and company ordering.
When I've made mistakes on ordering the wrong product, I've chalked it up and paid to ship it back. After all, I screwed up the order so why should they pay for my mistake. But if I read your problem correctly, their system said that the blades fit your wife's car, but they actually didn't. I'd bet you contact them and they send you a shipping return label. |
|
It's all in the box you check for the return.
I had them send me the wrong filler tube neck seal for a 98 mustang. It fits, one year. 1981-1997 takes the same seal, and 1999-current takes the same one. Oddball one year tank and fuel pump as well. Anyway, I used their parts lookup and ordered the seal shown, and they shipped the seal shown. Of course, when it came in, it was wrong. I went to the site and started the return process, and the way I listed it, it was going to charge me shipping to return it. All I did was back out and go back in and change the reason to something that was acceptable to them for no shipping charges on return. They credited my card back in seconds, and UPS picked it up two days later. Just check an appropriate box. |

Every issue I've ever had with Amazon Prime, they have taken care of. If they mess up an order, they'll pick it up for free. This is my experience, normally get Amazon GC for my troubles too. Was your order fulfilled by Amazon OP or did you purchase from a third-party seller? |

You are relying on AMAZON to tell you the right size wiper blade for your wife's car, when you can so easily look it up on an AUTO PARTS website? Or better yet, two or three? I think that was foolish at best, and, well, no need to go into the worst. And, you should read things CAREFULLY before you click on that final BUY button. I can say with 100% certainty, that if your packing slip said one sharpening stone, the description in your cart matched it. It may have changed from one screen to the next, but it's your responsibility to be sure you are ordering what you THINK you are ordering, before you click that final button. I'm sorry, but IMHO, most of the fault lies with you, this time around, I think. I would NEVER trust Amazon to tell me what car part to buy. It's not their primary business. The best place to look is in the owner's manual. I learned to read screens very carefully after getting burned, once, too. I'll bet you don't let it happen again; or at least I hope not. |

Amazon wiper blades? You may be in need of an intervention. Why? In addition to guitars, tablesaws, welders, and a ton of other tools, I have bought oil filters, air filters, radiator hoses, a radiator, egr valves, etc from Amazon. Here lately, I have been buying a lot electrical supplies from Amazon. Pass & Seymour receptacles and switches, Steel City boxes and covers, etc. Some stuff I do get from Platt, Rock Auto, Zoro Tools, and Tools Delivered, but it all depends on a combination who can get it to me when I need it and cost plus shipping. |

I just got finished thrashing them about an order where they also sent me something else I didn't order. Wasn't in my shopping cart in my email I got later but it showed up somehow under my orders later. I cancelled and nobody wanted to refund me the difference. They told me contact the vendor, vendor said contact amazon, both said contact the bank. All 3 said they couldn't help me. Like, the part got cancelled but nobody wants to refund me. I eventually got it, but I had to give them a verbal thrashing.

For anything that was ever a mistake on their part or an incorrect listing, they always picked up the return mailing fee via the "print return label" option. |

Same here. No complaints at all. I even talked them into taking back something that was way past the allowed return window. Quoted:

I think I'm going to scale back the amount of business I do with them, and it's been substantial since I Primed up before Christmas. I've never had to pay return shipping for a wrong item through Amazon. I just print a label from them and slap it on the box. |

Amazon wiper blades? You may be in need of an intervention. I buy them there. Cheaper than the store, no driving, and no tax/lower tax. I have also bought exhaust systems, fuel pumps, brake system parts, etc. I just returned a meat thermometer that didn't work. Free return shipping, instant credit, and a replacement unit ordered and shipped within two days. |
