Got my Chromecast hooked up and works fine from my laptop but I can't get it to work from my iPad gen 1, can't upgrade gen 1 to ios 6
All I really want to do us be able to queue up Netflix movies from the iPad. Have any of you got a way to make it work? |

Compatibility: Requires iOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. If you cannot upgrade your iPad to iOS 6 then you may be out of luck. Some have reported that they can get the app to work on the iPad 1 without iOS6 for Netflix control but that's about it. https://discussions.apple.com/message/24345977#24345977 You generally need to have the Chrome browser installed and then the Chromecast app for the Chrome browser installed to cast content other than YouTube or Netflix. Edit: To cast to Netflix or YouTube you need both apps installed or updated to the latest version if installed. |
