I was just given a set of curved steel plates from a friend. The stickers on them say "thebodyarmor.com", but I cannot find any information on the company. It says they are uncertified level 3a protection. Tested: 7.62mm NATO FMJ Result: No Penetration. Each plate has a unique 20 digit serial number as well.

I am just trying to get some info on the credibility of the plates.

If they are bare steel you should consider incorporating spall protection if you are planning to use them for body armor.

I called the local Rhino Liner company and they are going to do it for me. I am just trying to figure out the history of the company and the plates.
