[ARCHIVED THREAD] - VertX pants (Page 1 of 2)
|
I have several pair, they are excellent. Holding up very well to everyday use.
Vertx just bought out Fighter Design, who came up with the idea of putting mesh in strategic places on the pants for hot climates. TOP NOTCH! I got to T&E the mesh pants in the desert, and they were outstanding. Like having a tiny midget following you everywhere, fanning your privates. When Vertx hits the market with those pants, get some. You will not be disappointed. |
| I use their "Intellidry" pants for work. They're low profile cargos that look like business casual slacks at first glance. Maybe a little baggier, but not bad, and very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to wear them outdoors, although I prefer the Tru-Spec 24/7's for general work pants. |

Truspecs are good...I bought a couple of pairs of vertx on sale from Dvor. They are better than the truspecs. Better fit and more comfortable. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

ARFCOM GD: The only place where you will find men who actually give a shit what Internet strangers think about their choice of pants. If you like the pants, buy them and wear them. I think he was just asking if the pants are worth a shit (and if LAPG is an okay place to buy them), not if the general population of general discussion will like the way they look on him. |

"The brand was created as a collaborative effort between Fechheimer, Arc’teryx and federal law enforcement to produce a progressive tactical pant."
Atlanco Tru-Spec 24/7 FTW. I don't think they meant that their pants have any political affiliation.
I don't have any Vertx pants, but I think their Kryptek camo ones look pretty cool and appear to be a very effective camo, so I might buy some. |

Any suggestions? I wear Vertx pants while hunting, hiking, camping, etc. No complaints. Quoted:

For hiking? Nah, I've got better pants for that. Any suggestions? I wear Vertx pants while hunting, hiking, camping, etc. No complaints. Depends on the season. Right now I'm wearing REI Mistral pants for hiking. Windproof to 25mph, softshell pants, comfortable, and warm. Spring/Summer/Fall generally see me wearing either REI Sahara, Kuhl Liberator, or Columbia Silver Ridge pants. All are convertible, lightweight, and comfortable. |

Quoted: Depends on how skinny you are. My 28" pants are cut noticeably slimmer than my 30" pants, but I can't wear the 28s when carrying IWB. Roger, just read the MM review; he says they fit similar to Arc'teryx LEAF stuff, which is a very good thing. |
I liked my pair, the original version is a bit heavy for the summer and needed a few washings to not be so stiff. Mine were relegated to getting covered in oil in the garage when a pen ended up in the drier and ruined everything.
I bought them when they were half off when the first hit the scene. Just bought another pair with the coupon code. They are good pants, certain colors fit in with business casual pretty well. |

The inseams are like 2" oversized, the waist seems to be 2" undersized. Example, I often wear a 32x32 in whatever jeans, I need 34x30 in VERT-X. Quoted:
