Go on ebay and take a look. I was going to buy some of the military ones to put on a shelf in my mancave. I used to love the Abrams and Bradleys. I'm not going to pay what they're asking though. If I ever see some at a yardsale I'll pick them up.

Yep, they were awesome.

It's one brand that they need to bring back IMO.

Back in the 70's I remember they sold a micro-machine type car that came in a little plastic bubble. they were about 25 cents a piece and were sold at the local gas station. I think I had every one of those as well
1/13/2014 1:04:27 PM EDT
[#17]
I remember them being expensive for what they were. A 5 pack of Micro Machines was like $5, more than the price of a GI Joe guy.

I had only one set, one of the first ones... the one with the white lamborghini, black corvette and red ferrari in it. I was way too old to be playing with toys when they first came out but I got the set I did just because of the selection of cars it had in it.

And because the fast talking guy was a goddamned tyrannosaurus of a salesman.

Those micro machine Aliens toys were rare as fuck. They came out in like the late '90s in very scant quantities.

I remember hearing about them but never seeing them.

I have one of the big metal Japanese Aoshima drop ships (the 01 Bug Stomper) sitting on my filing cabinet at work with the matching APC... and next to them is a teeny tiny plastic APC that I now know (thanks to this thread) is a micro machine.

80s and certain 90s toys in great shape are big time collector's items.

My parents have a optimus prime and megaton transformer both New in box. They were gifts they never gave out and they ended up in a box somewhere.

Their eyes did this when I told them what they are worth.

One toy line that I remember from that same era but never see much mention of is Kenner's Mega Force.

They were kind of like matchbox vehicle size but you got three or four per pack and there were two different opposing armies. They were all "fake" military stuff like GI Joe vehicles but they seemed pretty cool for the time and the way they packaged them it seemed like they were trying to play up the "build an army" angle.

I never had any of them as once again they were "after my toy having time" but had I been young enough I would have had a shitton of those.

I had a rubbermaid bin full of them, along with my hot wheels/matchbox cars. Parents got rid of them during one of my childhood moves.

Probably would take forever to list them all individually on ebay though

I dug the star wars action fleet micro machines the most, but I had divisions worth of tanks and airplanes.
