Hahaha how stupid can a person be. The whole movie is about a Govt's sadistic plan to maintain power after a civil war. The movie if anything shows that firearms are absolutely needed in the common man's hands. The games are psychological morale killer to keep the districts submissive. That's why the girl's true fighter spirit is sensed by the masses, her strength is a spark and the district peoples revolutionary spirit feeds and grows stronger off of. How well would a public execution of grandpa been handled if the people had firearms?
To be as popular as it has become, the series is the best damn entertainment piece to reinforce God given rights and point out what a govt out of control can do in a Long time. |

Good point but today's kids are so stupid and ignorant they don't get the message. They are too busy texting or whatever to pay attention to the movie. My daughter and niece went to see a movie to which I asked them about it when I picked them up. They could not tell me a freaking thing about it due to being engrossed in a tweeting debate. WTF??? No one here knows this person, so what is your suggestion? Education. I have no idea who this person is either and like I said I don't even have twitter. But I do plenty trying to educate people on the importance of the 2nd amendment. (Or correcting stupid people in general) And like I said it's not a real, long term solution. People need to be brought up understanding history, and why we have the constitution, and the importance of the bill of rights. We all need to work together, so if someone does have twitter and sees something like that set her straight. Just ignoring it, or making a joke of it, will not make it go away. |

I dunno, I don't see any anti-gun propaganda in her one post. She merely stated that in the movie's future US, guns are banned, and it seems to be more of a tongue-in-cheek post. And anyone who's seen these movies knows the general populace could use a lot of guns to combat the evil gub'ment. It could be interpreted as a pro-gun text, actually. As in, "the US banned private gun ownership. How's that worked out?" That's how I read it.
