So the sight picture on my AR looks something like this.. I know its not normal. I shoot right handed and tried moving face close and far to the rear sight and no matter how I try to focus it looks like this....I made this with paint so crappyness is what it is.

What's your age? As shooters get older, the front sight will fuzz up and/or become distorted. I'm 27. I've been nearsighted all my life, but didn't need bifocals until around fifty. You'll simply have to go see an eye doc. No big deal, he'll get you straightened right up. Astigmatism is easily corrected in most cases, I believe. (If that is what you have; could probably be any number of things, though.) |

Couldn't resist. But seriously, I think that astigmatism causes such distortion in at least in some cases. You probably should get a thorough eye exam to find out for certain. Does my new 0bamacare policy pay for this? No cash left over after I make the premium payment every month. |
