| My contract is up soon and I'm considering the 5s. Any pros/cons from actual users? Had an android for the last 2 years, blackberry before that. I liked android but I also like ios on my wifes ipod touch. Think I want to make the switch over to apple for a while. |

Replaced my 4s with a 5s; not much difference between them in terms of performance; I got the 5s because of the LTE network and since I already own an iPad with the Retina Display, I can swap plugs. My car ('13 Honda Accord EX-L) already has a USB port, so all I do is get a cheap cord and go. if you don't wanna spent the $200+ bucks for a 5S; just keep the 4s; if you already updated the iOS, you should be G2G.

I went from the Note II to the Nokia 928 (Windows phone) One of the vendors I use to dispatch service calls uses a IOS app to dispatch calls, connect techs to clients, etc so I had to go to a iPhone 5 to keep that relationship (and money flow) intact.
So far my only complaint is the screen size. Even from the 928 the iPhone 5s feels like a Barbie phone |
| I've had the 5s for a couple weeks now, switched from a 4s & I've been impressed with it. I was up at my hunt camp this weekend & it was fully charged when I got up there Friday afternoon (around 3:30pm) with no way to charge it until I left Sunday morning & it still had 20% battery Sunday morning. My 4s would have been dead Saturday. I also like the better camera & its much faster than the 4s along with the larger screen. |

I've had the i5s since release and am happy with it. But I've also had every model since the 3G, and am very used to the iOS system and iTunes.
The screen size is no issue unless you plan to browse the web with it, I don't play games so I have no input there. The camera is awesome, good touch sensitivity on the screen, tons of apps, fast, never locks up or crashes, etc. The usual Apple gear experience from what I can tell. I get good battery life and don't even think about charging during the day, but I'm not a "Power User". I bought the Verizon version even though my service is with AT&T, since that model is unlocked for GSM carriers. I travel some, and the unlock is useful overseas for cheaper, local service. I always sell last year's model for about 60-75% of what I paid, so upgrades are not too painful. They actually end up costing no more than the subsidized price and I do not have to renew a contract to get a phone. Most other brands do not have this resale value. I also have an iPad that takes up the slack if I need to wait somewhere and want a bigger screen or a better mapping experience when driving. |

My wife has an iPhone 5 and we prefer it to the 4 and 4s's we have in the house. Slimmer, seems lighter, works really well. We'll be upgrading everyone's 4 and 4s's to 5s as we can. |

I have it, just came from android phones for forever. Biggest issue for me is a lack of buttons seems weird, I like to use the back button also get a little worries that apps are running in the background eating up battery. I registered like five fingers in the print reader just in case, so far though it's read soggy dishpan hands and chapped fingers. I didn't like buying new cords, my wife has an iPod that she brings everywhere that we just finally got cables for both cars, den, garage, and office, now we gotta do it again. Also needs a special case for the fingerprint reader.
I like it a lot though, very fast, great screen, takes good pictures too |

I have 4s and wife has a 5s. I like her phone better. Its slimmer and lighter and a bit taller then mine but other then that nothing really sticks out as "better" except for her battery life it is a bit better. Both take very good pictures and rarely have operating issues. I get handed phones for work and since I dont pay anything for them I will stick with the 4s until they give me an upgrade.
If I had to go buy a new phone tomorrow it would be the 5s in a heart beat. Since mine is a work phone I still use the actual phone feature a lot and both the 4 & 5 seem to be much easier to use as a phone them some of the competitors almost tablet sized phones. I understand for some folks the larger screen is better but that would be the only argument I could see between the 5 and a competitor. IF you are ok with the smaller size phone you will like the 5s. I gave wife a matching Ipad Air for Christmas and she couldnt be happier with the combo and I am by far not a Apple fan boy. We gave her android based tablet to our daughter as a hand me down because the Apple system and Apple apps are a lot more user friendly we will just stick with their products moving forward. Im sure if you have a lot of time to check into and learn how to use different apps they are probably pretty equal between the 2 systems but I went from a HTC EVO/Andriod tablet Apple hater to pretty much going with all Apple stuff now and I have been pleased with the decision.--still use windows laptop though. Good luck with your purchase. BTW the 5 does have the newer firewire looking charger where the 4 has the old wider one. Amazon and ebay have charges and attachments for very cheap to make the 4 charger work with the 5 etc. I think I got 3 chargers for the 5 for like $5 shipped from China on ebay. So its very cheap to buy extra charger cables. PS..I use Sprint if that matters. |

They do have minimum-ish shipping fees, so they might not be the most economical if you're just buying 1-2 cables. A lot of no-name knockoff cables have a high failure rate, so check reviews before you buy. |

5s and I love it.
Went from a 3GS, 4, to Galaxy S3 for something new, and back to the iPhone with the 5s. Removable batteries and storage are overrated. Well, the removable battery is useless and while expandable storage is a nice option, it's not really that necessary. I just got a 64GB iPhone and the problem was solved. |

If I want a bigger screen, thats why I bought my tablet, hell its what I'm on now. And for the memory aspect, I had a 32gb card in my thunderbolt and barely even used 1gb, so the 16gb iPhone will fit me fine. |
