Local Army/Navy Surplus store had some, bought a tan one and an OD green one which has a Magpul looking AR pattern on one side. Used the tan a couple of times last year.

Get them on Amazon.

I wear one while running in the winter.

My wife snagged one of mine and uses as a regular scarf.

This. Except Ramadi. Never wear it, in fact I'm not sure where the hell it even is these days.

picked up a few in iraq..  used them a few times there when it got cold and windy..   haven't felt the need to dig them out since i been home since commercially made cold weather gear seems more practical.

I have 4.

One in coyote for work,

one in khaki/sand for hunting,

one in white for hunting in the snow,

and one in red for when I dress up as Mario...

I heave one but I can't recall when I've ever worn it.

I had a tan one that some iraqi gave me.  I traded one of my afghan police guys for a yellow and black one because those are hawkeye colors.

Don't pay for a shemag that isn't cool.

I only wear mine to the gun shows.

Almost bought a fancy Arafat style one when I was in Palenstine. Knew I'd never wear the stupid thing and passed. A watch cap and neck gaiter work just fine.

Got a few from Iraq blue/white and red/white, and a blackhawk od green/ tan one that I use while hunting.  They are great for hunting love the fact they are super versatile lightweight and can be styled to breakup the shape of your dome, you can play with the over lap on top for shade for your eyes, they keep the sun off your neck, folded up they are suprisingly warm and draped they keep you cool.  There are lots of reasons they havent gone out of use over the centuries in that part of the world.

I have a fire retardant one from XGO? I think.

I have one, but feel like too much of a poser to put it on, even if I'm just by myself coyote hunting.

I had one.  It was awesome.  It kept the dirt from getting down my shirt when I got on the CH-47.

When I got out of the CH-47 it took flight.

I miss it.  It was a glorious and fully functional 5 minutes.

I have one from who knows where. It's very useful when it's stupid hot outside and you're in a two-gun competition. Wrap it around your neck, and it keeps you from overheating.

I have a green one. I wear it hunting, and used to wear it to school when riding my bike in dust storms. It works great.

If I saw someone at my college wearing a shemagh, that would instantly make them a douche. Even if they did serve.

It's bad enough with all of these douche bags using fucking assault packs for their book bags.

Yeah I have a couple, bought them off of Ebay, mine has the pattern woven in, not printed on. I do get some nice comments on it, sometimes from people who know what it is and other times from people who just think the scarf is nice.

Didn't we just do this one a few weeks ago? And to the op yes i use one on extremely cold hunting days. That's about it.

My FIL gave me one. He has been in Afghanistan for almost 3 years. I don't feel like I've earned the right to wear it. I wore it as a head dress as a wise man in my kid's Christmas play though.

Urban Outfitters sells those. Liberal hipsters wear those and are NOT being ironic in doing so.

Picked up a bunch as gifts at a bazaar at the big FOB in Kunduz, Afghanistan.  I've got a couple left back in the PI, but I don't have any here in Saudi.  They call the big red and white ones "shemagh" here, as well.  Much finer than the ones in A-stan, although I believe most of those were made in China.  A-stan, by the way, does have a very short border with China.

I've got about a dozen I've picked up all over the ME. I've taken 6 trips that way, all as a civilian.

I use mine mostly for wrapping up guns when I go to the range and don't use a case.

I've worn one a couple times out in the woods, but I feel like I'm towing the line of duechbaggery when I wear it.

Meant to ask, has anyone ever tried the XGO flame resistant one? It seemed like it'd be a good no-weight thing to stuff in a carryon in case one has to get the hell out of a crash/fire.
