You know, those small pieces of metal on a stripper clip that you bend up to hold your ammo on? I have noticed that sometimes they break off, sometimes not. Has this little piece of metal ever caused a jam for anyone? I get paranoid everytime that I use one and spend more time looking for the little bastard than it would take to stoke the mag one at a time. I will still keep several around loaded for show but probably wont use them like they are designed for. Oh yeah, sorry for the teaser post topic header. |

These things are supposed to be "Fire and Forget" Pretty much all GOV 223 with the exception of tracer and match come on these, and you dont have to turn them back to the ASP. They are made to only work once without breaking. Now we all know that they last much longer!! I collected hundreds if not thousands of these when I was an Ammo NCO and keep my SHTF ammo on them, But my general plinking/range ammo goes straight from the box to the mag. And before some turd burgler gets into sniper mode, of course linked 223 does not come on stripper clips!! |

Quoted: Quoted: You mean on like a 1903? SKS stripper don't have tits. [;)] I doubt it would be a problem. What I'm talking about is the stripper clips for the AR15/M16. I guess I am that anal Ponyboy. Attention to detail is my gig. Can't help it. Attention to detail huh, take a look at the topic.... |

Quoted: Incidently, what does the inscription on the back mean? I've handled thousands of these things and have only seen the same: "GGG ASSY 11010483". Same number every time. That's the code for "44DD All Naturals"... I've only handle something like that a couple of times in my life! Worth every hour, too. |
