Started looking up some some aftermarket sights for my XDm .45 as I really don't like the stock dull hard-to-see sites....  Anyhoo - came across this video and was like

WTF man!  An air chisel??  Should have just used a 10lb sledge and a screwdriver

don't make fun of my video. That's probably his audition video to get a job at Red Jacket.

If he would have had a Kimber it would have fallen out on its own

Well, looks like he got it...

It worked fine, what's the problem?

front sight tools must be too expensive, which judging by the car on cinder blocks behind him, may be the case.

Well, it did work.  I'm surprised it took that many hits.

I guess if you don't care about keeping the stock front site it's one way to do it. It appeared that there was no damage to the slide.

Seems to have worked. Xd's are notorious for having tight front sights. Some smiths mill them off instead of trying to punch them out.

I think that guy has a promising future at Century Arms International.

That probably can't afford to compensate him for that type of skill level.

I wonder why his air chisel isnt select fire?

hard to be precise on full auto

After the lengths I had to go to drifting my XD45 rear sight, this actually seems appropriate.

XD sights are notoriously difficult to remove.  IIRC Springfield requests that you send in your pistol for sight replacement.

The CH on the side of the air hammer, normally tells you it is junk.

My CH air hammer has wreaked havoc and mahem for many years.  All I do is sharpen the bit once in a while.

I think I am gonna change sights on my XD this weekend........

I only opened this thread because I removed my canted front sight from a cheap pencil barrel flat top upper with a 4" angle cutter last weekend. I was worried someone took a photo behind me in my garage while I was making it into a low-pro gas block.

I did the math on the cheapest way to fix it and a $69 Bushnell TRS and a $11 UTG riser was cheaper than the clamp on solutions I was finding.
