Okay it's been a while since I bought any WW, I usually buy the inserts that I take off and change myself.  They usually would cost less than $10 per vehicle.

I just went to buy some and stupid AutoZone and Advanced no longer sell the inserts.  You have to buy the entire bracket with the insert already installed and they are close to $20 a piece.

What the heck?

I can get the refills online and will stock up in advance so I don't get into a have to situation.  But what the heck and why...

I had to ask for them.   I do not remember the store so call around.

The inserts were in back...not out front.

As for your questions....I have no idea.

I'll go try them out.

I only stopped at AutoZone because the old one stripped off mid-swipe and I was within feet of Autozone.  I will not make that mistake again.

I picked up a set of refills for my wife's Mazda MPV at Farm and Fleet for $3.49 apiece.
What a PITA to replace them!
Arthritis doesn't make it any easier, either.

They sure work well, though.

I just paid $50 per vehicle to put Bosch Icons on everything.

Holy shit, I can actually see now.

A chance to fuck the stupid sheep that don't know about insert replacements.
ETA Not speaking of you, just people like wife who don't know how it used to be because somebody would always do it for them.

Don't forget they are giant shitbags that prohibit employee firearm possession and will fire an AF vet who saved his manager's life because he had his .45 on company property.
No Autozone for me.

I was trying to decide between Bosch Icons and Rain-X Latitudes.

Icons are made in China; Latitudes are made in Korea.

I bought the Latitudes.

The Rain X whatever the top of the line is is a pretty damn good wiper, have them on two rigs. Inserts/refills are cheap and seem to last as long as anything, Napa has always had them, but always tried to up sell me somthing else. Little tip for AZ and Advance, go online and look up the part, wouldn't surprise me if they list your refills, the counter jockeys are a overwhelmingly useless, I've had them tell me many times they didn't list a part, then looked it up on their website and called back with the number, it's complete BS to have to do so, but our shop is open late and after 6 they're the only option.
