Asking because I bought the Casio Protrek 3000-1a as a Christmas gift for myself…I knew I would have to calibrate the altimeter prior to every trip, but is it normal for these to get thrown off by entering buildings?  For example I will calibrate it prior to leaving work, and it will remain accurate up until I enter my building.  After spending all day inside though it is way off…Maybe the HVAC system inside is screwing with it?

anytime the barometric pressure changes, so will the altitude


sure, that can be entering a building
