| Very cool. I am about to show my lack of firearms knowledge, but I had always thought the Sig 556 was a new design. I had no idea it had that kind of lineage. And VERY cool. Though I am not a huge fan of having that many fire modes on one rifle, but it seems very nice. |

He talks to much. I want that toy. Buy a SIG P-556 pistol and SBR it. That gets you pretty close. Or buy a P-556 and don't SBR it, if you can live without having a stock on it. |

Though the 5k is a pretty good deal for an actual Swiss copy considering that a SIG 550 goes for upwards of 12k. |

I went the 556 pistol to SBR route. It isn't as cool but since it takes cheap AR mags I like it better. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I thought about SBR'ing it, but decided I like it just fine as it is. |

Are these guys 88ers? I only ask because of the IraqVet8888 YouTube name and it says 88 Industries at the end of their recent videos. ETA- serious question, not trolling Or that, or his last 4 is 8888 and he had to call that shit out while standing in the chow line at Basic, or 88 was his football #, or he lost his virginity in the bed of an '88 S-10, etc... |

I found one that looked exactly the same in Iraq, down to the green furniture with 5 mags loaded up on a table in a house we raided.
I always wondered how it made it's way there. Shot it, loved it, but when we had to leave all I got to take home were the mags. I did however recently find a swiss lower with a folding buttstock and 5 mags for a steal and snatched it up, I wonder if I could ever find a pistol upper and remove the buttstock and have it as a pistol? The lower isn't the serialized part, so it isn't considered "always a rifle" right? So I have ten mags for a gun I don't yet have all the parts for lol. |

Would absolutely love to have one (hell, would love to shoot one). Is it just me or is that a pretty damned fast cyclic rate on that? It is! Super fast, and super controllable. Swiss design makes it a damn deadly weapon. When I shot mine (lol) I was in love. Especially when Uncle Sam was buying the ammo. |

Years ago I had a chance to shoot them quite a bit at SIG Arms Academy......never liked them.
Safety was a reach and difficult to manipulate. The rest of the controls are AK.... Its little more than a fancy AK.........but I know lots of people drool over them. |
