I am trying to find a way to repair a broken double hung window sash lift bar on one of my vinyl windows. But I can' t find a single thing online. Essentially, the little plastic bar that is used to lift the window came off and is MIA.

Can I buy a replacement and glue it on? Do I need a entire window sash?

Thanks for looking.

I thought for sure this was going to be a parody/continuation of printer repairman jokes.

ETA: If it is single pane, I see no reason to not be able to just glue one on.

Its one of those insulated windows so, its a double pane but like one big piece.

No, not a parody, I am not following those hi-jinks...(yet  )

I don't get it...the piece of plastic that allows you to life the window open broke off? I would think glue would just break...if the original plastic piece did then why would glue hold it?
I would drill holes and install a handle and use long screws with small nuts and washers on the backside if it was me.

Here is a picture. That little space where the white frame stops is where the bar goes. That is glass that it sticks to.

(Wow, that is a dirty window )

Are there any AM crew window guys?

Check your local area for vinyl replacement window dealers. They can tell you how to order the piece you need.

Somewhere on the window should be information that tells you who the manufacture is. Contact them and they can tell you if it is a repairable part or if it takes a new sash.
