Anyone else roll their eyes every time these make the news? 44 customers pay for the person behind them at a drive-thru.
If I looked in my rear view and saw someone with 6 kids in the van and they looked like they needed more than 2 extra-value meals themselves, that shit would end right then and there with me. Would you pay it forward? |

Would you pay it forward? I'd probably pay for part of their order, roughly the cost of what I got myself. But no way in hell am I paying 40-50 bucks for a carload of people if I'm getting $6 worth of food. |

Actually, every morning when I get coffee, I buy the person behind me a cup as well. I've done this for about the last 5 years.
I call it my 'coffee karma'. Now it has become a somewhat interesting social experiment, just to observe how people react. Sometimes it gets passed on ( I have seen a string of 18 people 'pay it forward'), but usually it doesn't go beyond the person I buy for. I take notes.....and have found some interesting trends. Maybe one day I'll write a book or publish a paper on the results. |
