I am in need of a 12v programmable timer/relay which can run a water valve for a duration of about 1-2 minutes once an hour.

The closest thing I can find is limited to 17 times per day.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, I've pretty much exhausted all of my search engine options.  Thanks.

You should be able to do something simple with an Arduino setup....with the right modules you could even add Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or other wireless modules so you could also reconfigure the device remotely.

Yep, Arduino. Easy to program. Tons of help online, although what you're asking could be done in less than 10 lines of code. Depending on the current draw of the water valve, you will probably need to build or purchase a circuit to isolate the Arduino from what it is controlling. They can't power or drive too much.  Also, RaspberryPi is similar.

ETA: I believe they run off 9V, but getting that from 12V is elementary, Watson.

A quick google search lead me to probably the same switch you'd found. 17 cycles/day.

I know it's double the failure points - but did you consider 2 of them? AM 12 cyles/ PM 12 cycles? or 12-2 hour cycles?

Just a thought.
