If you drop, knock off a table or rack a firearm on display by a dealer are you obligated to purchase the firearm.

I have seen a dealer drop a rifle and the rousing scream of "you bought it" from other dealers shook the room, that is until they saw it was another dealer who dropped the weapon.

Nope, I'm a felon and not allowed to own any firearms.

(at least that's how this state treats me)

Can't see how dropping a firearm is going to break it - might scratch the stock or nick the finish a bit - buy it, I don't think so.

No.  But, they can try to sue you for any damage you may have caused.

If this is true, it sounds like another gun show loophole that needs to be addressed. Please contact your congresscritters and demand immediate action. For the children...particularly the ones who were dropped.

cynic
p.s. If you cause the firearm to levitate, is it yours to keep?
