Over zealous OCers lost us that battle. Starbucks is there to make money with coffee, not to be a political platform for anyone. We forced their hand.

They are there to make money, with coffee. When all of this started they released a statement trying to distance themselves from the controversy, by stating that they supported whatever state's law the individual store was in. Instead of taking that as  a minor win, lots of folks strapped on ARs to get their latte. Starbucks didn't want to have an official stand on the matter, we just forced their hand.
