It may have been talked about already, but with the way things are going. Where is the line in the sand?
When people will say enough and start to say no I won't be taxed to death, I won't pay for insurance if I dont want it. Is this really the begining of the end, its as if there is no hope just change. |

The line in the sand has been crossed and we did nothing. The truth is, there is nothing we can do. We pretend to do things, such as throwing money at political parties and voting, or even writing letters. It makes us feel like we count. We only support the corrupt politicians that play a bigger game. Until both sides can come together in the middle, things will only get worse. Maybe it needs to hit rock bottom for this to happen. I hope I am wrong but this is how I feel. Maybe we just need a leader with good values and heart that we can all follow. I doubt the people that run this country would ever let that happen.
Until then, we will have no other choice, but to live on as we have always lived. Who will lead us? Will it be YOU? |

I think part of the problem is we are too civilized. Also, who can we directly, physically put our hands on to hold accountable for this mess? This. There is no one DIRECTLY we can blame. As far as 'when will we stand'? My guess is when the FSA makes their big stand/riots because we are completely bankrupt, or 'services' go unchecked. Once they light the fires and we descend into anarchy, you will see people on both sides clear the benches and hit it. |

I think part of the problem is we are too civilized. Security with a bit of liberty sure beats having to risk your life and your family's life and your fortune and sacred honor. Mankind has come to accept some rulers, and the dominant ethos worldwide rejects the idea of armed rebellion to resist onerous taxation. It's very hard to explain Natural Law and how the fruits of one's labor can be stolen in the form of money when businesses are sending out letters talking about the need to change "our collective spending". - The Founders would've been tarring and feathering people when Fast and Furious broke. |

The problem is that we don't teach history anymore and the talking heads in Washington do not fear the people anymore. We do not live in a democracy! We live in a Representative Republic not that the powers that be actually represent USanymore. The Tree of liberty is getting dry and we lose more and more of our liberty every day.
The line is crossed and we are in deep trouble. I believe that many of you are right, We The People have become too civilized to do what would need to be done. The media is no longer a nonpartisan by stander that keeps government in check but a willing participant in our demise. The question I continue to ask myself is what can I do......? |

So long as the government, for the most part, does what a majority of the people want or at least will tolerate, nothing will happen but the slow, steady, progressive loss of Liberty. The socialists know it, and they have been using that strategy for a long time. IF it ever gets to where the government dictates, and then brutally enforces laws which a majority apposes, then THEIR use of might will results in a loss of credibility in the eyes of the majority of the people and so they lose the hearts and minds; they lose the battle. Again, the Left knows this, and is very careful to not step over the imaginary line. And there is no reason for them to do so. The Democrats know they can push something through that a majority do not want, but a very vocal minority want (like Obama care). They know that they might lose some ground in the next election, but because the Republican leadership are not really apposed to more government control, only who is in control of the government, they know that eventually they will get power back, the laws will be in place and accepted. They can then move on to pushing for the next step, every time farther and farther toward what they want. This is what maddens so many people. If the Republicans were truly against socialism, then there would at least be hope that at some point there would be a fight to push it back the other way. But alas, there is none (aside from Tea Party folks like Cruz and Paul, who the Republican establishment despise). Obama did a lot of good by awaking many to what was going on, but he only did so because he saw that a majority were already entrenched into having the government nipple in their mouth and felt the time was right to make a big push. Only by winning the hearts and minds of a majority of Americans, winning the argument that Liberty is better for them than socialism (which require someone to believe it is so, don't look for the Republicans to do that, the majority of them do not believe that is true since Reagan--they want more power just like the Democrats) can the "battle" be won. So, where is the line? Is has already been crossed. The battle is on. Do everything you can to live your life and convince others that Liberty is the way, THAT is the battle for America. The only battle that matters. |
