What? You people haven't noticed some curious naming choices for some of these shows? It should be obvious to anyone. And it should be obvious why. Same with other marketing, and creative use of language combined with the knowledge of the way our brains put things together. Sometimes it's on a subconscious level and sometimes it may be obvious, but we don't care or think about it: Verizon = sounds like "new Horizon" + logo symbolism of a "check mark" and a positive trend Kodak = has a strong K sound representing something bold, etc other stuff related to corporate logos... https://www.google.com/#psj=1&q=famous+logos+and+their+meanings I have to go find that really neat article I read about the sounds and combinations of names which have a significance to us, often on a subconscious level. Neat stuff. ETA: I don't want to go toooo far off topic. So I'll just re-iterate the fact that I think the show is really sad. Terrible writing. Terrible characters. Terrible dialog. Terrible theme. Overall, just crap. Oh well. If you like it, enjoy it, I guess. But I'd point you back to the above post with the show sans-laughtrack. It really is just depressing to watch such crap. |
