Product Code: JY0110-55E

Citizen Radio Controlled Red Arrows Titanium Skyhawk

Yes, it is a UK variant.  But the red dial is kind of cool.

Well, I don't like red or LCD displays on my watches, so I'm not a fan.

I agree, the red is too much IMO. I do like the Blue Angel's Version.

If a demonstration team pilot looks at that during the routine... Lawn dart!

Looks like about $10.

Exactly my thoughts

Pilot's watch? Where do you fit in aviate, navigate, and communicate with that thing?

Looks like it could transport you through time. 4/10 for looks

Could they even cram more shit onto that watch's face?
9/16/2013 6:37:03 AM EDT
[#15]
Way too much going on on that face,

[#16]
Perhaps if the business wasn't on the bezel and it had more order to it.

I'd rock this one if I was going for the pilot look.

I've got the regular black/orange/stainless Citizen Skyhawk A-T and I love it. But that one...ehhh...not so much.

ETA: This one. I even use the whiz-wheel regularly.

I thought about buying one of those until my buddy loaned me is for a couple of days.
At my age (57) I don't need glasses for far vision, but I do for close up.
I can't make out anything on the face of that watch without reading glasses which I never seem to have on me.
I like the watch, but I passed on it for one with "bigger numbers"...

Ugly as crap.

And like 99% of these styled watches - you will never use all that crap on the face - and will never remember how.

I admit to asking Breitling watch owners about their watch - and then asking them to show me how to use all of the navigation crap on the face.

As a pilot, I would use most of the features of that watch.
I find it not that ugly.
I would buy a Breitling if I could afford it.
I would buy that Citizen watch if I could only see the numbers without wearing thick reading glasses....
But - to each their own....

I'm wearing a Citizen Eco-Drive and it has been a very dependable watch for around five years.

That said, that thing is busy enough to generate a migraine.

Which button detonates the explosive charge?
9/16/2013 7:13:37 AM EDT

I have the exact same watch but mine is blue instead of red.  It's a great watch.  It does get confusing when you change time zones and the watch adjusts at night.
9/16/2013 7:13:44 AM EDT
[#29]
If I was a pilot and all that stuff was useful I might like it.

For just telling time it's way too crowded.

It's your money and your watch to buy if you like it, that's more important than my opinion.

Too busy.  Similar to my thought on some of the Horus Vision reticles found on long range scopes.

Some of the nice Brietlings are that way and so they're just not my cup of tea.

You can find used Breitling Emergencies and other pro series watches pretty cheap; like $700.
Just slap a new battery in it and you're off

9/16/2013 7:52:26 AM EDT

I like eco drives.  I'm not a big fan of digital displays on otherwise analog watches, but like the T-Touch, it might grow on me.

I wouldn't snicker behind your back, it's not an Invicta.

I don't understand the desire to wear a wristwatch in 2013. Therefore I'm not qualified to vote in your poll (but I did, anyway)

Its a little to busy for my taste, but I have 2 citizen Eco-Drives that my wife gave to me as gifts. The 1st is over 12 years old and runs like a champ. The other is about 4 years old and runs perfect. Never changed a battery or done anything to either, they just keep running.

Yeah, but sometimes, you've just got to know what time it is RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

Same idea as carrying with one in the pipe.

If i wanted something bigger I would get the Stauer 1933 Graves.
If I had a cell phone I wouldn't wear a watch.
