My favorite beer is from California. My favorite cheap beer is from Pennsylvania. If I'm drinking southern alcohol it is not beer. That would be like watching football in Europe. No, I buy whiskey if I'm going for Southern.  ETA: The only shit in that picture I see that is remotely appetizing is very southern. And by southern, I mean it is brewed in Mazatlan and Encenada.  |

Shiner Bock was THE absolute cheapest beer available around here for many many years. The reason that parties were fueled by cases and kegs of the stuff.
It's cheap beer that yuppies "discovered" and the price literally tripled over night. It's iconic to us older Texans for completely different reasons than it seems to be for posers. |
