My great grandfather graduated from the Atlanta Medical College in 1892. He died in 1929 in Cedartown, Ga.

What college did the AMC morph into? Is it Emory University? Any help you give me will help me put a name on my great great grandfather.

If you make the trip eat and have a beer and Everybody's Pizza just down from the main entrance.  Thank me later
Couldn't be that many doctors who died in Cedartown in 1929. I bet the local newspaper or library or Superior Court Clerks office has the newspapers from 1929.

Thanks. I know who my great grandfather was. We believe his father died in the Civil War, but there are no records. Cannot find him in any census records. I am hoping my great grandfather may have listed his fathers name in his college application. I will contact Emory Univ. Maybe I can get lucky there.
