Yeah knew orders take a while just figured they would at least confirm they received it somewhat timely.

I bet you'll see something soon.

There is nothing normal with CMP timelines.  The management there states that they will not hire for peaks only to lay people off later due to running out of product or demand.  They get done what they get done and I know they're busy as hell in there.

Their timelines can suck but the dedication to fixing other issues is outstanding.

I don't order anything from them that I need soon or even if I can order the same product elsewhere.  Their rifles, ammo, parts, etc.  yeah sure, they're usually a good deal.  Commercial ammo prices are only comparable and with the slowness to ship I just assume buy from a standard quick ship operation.

I'm not bashing the CMP, just stating their model is different.  Know what to expect and it's not a big deal.   Gone are the lucky days of getting a rifle 25-35 days after ordering.  The internet made them popular enough I suspect they'll never really get that caught up again.

Thanks hope I see something soon, not necessarily concerned about getting my order fast, I understand it takes a will. Just want to make sure my order even arrived, and that they have everything needed. Thanks for the response.

Still have not received an email, should I call/email them?

Count on at least another week.  Maybe more.  You'll get what's called (on the CMP forums, not actual CMP term)da DBU (don't bother us) email, saying they have received it and put it in line with the rest of the orders.  And don't waste your time (or theirs) trying to find out what the status is on your order.  They really can't tell you anything because there isn't anything to say; your order is just in a pile of other orders sorted by date.  Eventually, after a couple months, it'll hit the CMP estore where you'll see the order, and then usually a few days before it ships, it'll get updated with the serial number.

Go sign up at the CMP forums and pay attention to the "New Order Timeline" thread under M1 Garand, you can kinda get a feel for where you're at by watching what others post for dates.  Also it's a great resource for current and future M1 owners and CMP customers.

They will send you an email once they begin processing your order, that will take approximately 1 month.  Once you receive that email, it will be another 2-4 weeks before your rifle arrives.  They are currently sorting through the largest backlog in their history, so patience is required.

From their website:

"PLEASE NOTE:  In the past several months, the CMP has been overwhelmed with orders for all products.  Orders are processed in the sequence they were received.  Please allow a minimum of 30-60 days for orders to ship."

Just be patient, dont call, dont email, just forget you even ordered it...the more you bother them the less time they get to spend getting orders out.

I sent the order in for a special grade march 15 2013
I did not see it until June 12th or so.

Well called em today, she was able to look my order up. Turns out my email was entered into their system wrong, that was why I hadn't received it yet.
Glad to know my order was received fine. Now I can wait without any worries.

Wanted to update the thread:

Switched to a SASG due to hra's being backorded.

Case added on 11/4, and said order is awaiting shipment so it should ship any day now.
