Quoted: Was that a charging station, or just a smug station? If it's a charging station, then just carry around a cheap extension cord and run it to nowhere under the hood. If it was just a smug station, then fuck 'em. |

On ARFCOM we only respect private property rights that we agree with. well in my case it a public parking lot. I hate these things myself, but agree with the goose man on this. The parking lot may be out in the open, but it isn't "public" property. Whoever owns or leases the land gets to set the rules. |

The Office Depot nearby has about 3 rows in their lot - 2 rows facing each other in front of the store, and one row facing the street. I think every spot in the first 2 rows had some sort of preferential parking. There were handicap spaces, bus spaces, and 1/2 of them were low emission spaces. Of them all, 3 had cars. I got the last space in the furthest row. I told the poor clerk to make sure her manager new that whoever was the idiot who planned that is responsible for loosing me as a customer. They have competition that does not mind me driving to their store to shop. Their discrimination lost a customer. For what it's worth, I was driving a high gas mileage compact car. I noticed that they had no compact car spaces, and no baby on board spaces - I guess it could have been worse. --- I will honor the policy when I see it - but telling customer service I will shop elsewhere from now on. Plenty of stores that are not that liberal. I don't want my money going to them, or their politics. |

I agree it is private but every business there is leasing, so not their rules. If the land owner wants to kick me out for parking there it's his rules. But I'm only leaving because he asked not because I can't park there. My car has a battery and will not run without electric. Loose loose for them. If I don't park there they loose because there is nowhere else to park. I just want someone to try to enforce this, would brighten my day! Quoted:

Inside the business sure (and those particular rules are for health reasons). See my "Whites Only" comment. Not always are those health reasons. And why should the interior of the property have special protections over the outside of the property? Most parking lots don't allow overnight parking either. Nor do they allow you to park if you are patronizing a different business. They do get to place conditions on the use of their facilities. |
