Hey, I'm a FNG here.  Love reading the spirited conversations. Had to register, checks in the mail to become a full fledged member. I'm waiting to take delivery of my new Bushmaster.  First AR I've owned.  I plan on making it a "Poser Gun", you now the type, more stuff hanging on it than a department store Christmas tree, the day after Thanksgiving. I want to get some oohs and awshuks from my hillbilly buddies who like to fan their 30-30s like the Rifleman. I'm going to need help, and you all seem to be the ones to ask.  I hope you will welcome me to the family.  Now lets have a group hug.

Welcome, ya FNG!

Get your credit cards ready, it won't stop with your Bushmaster.

Swing by the Maryland AR15 Shooters Site for lot's of good 1st time user info and shoots that aren't too far from you.

Also, suggest you join the Virginia Citizens Defense League and get involved in protecting your right to keep that rifle.  In the process, you'll hook up with a lot of like minded fellow shooters.

Vote this election day!  (vote early, vote often, as the DemoRats like to say)

Thanks! I feel all warm and fuzzy.  I'm a former resident of the Peoples Republic of Maryland.  I climbed the wall and made it back to America (Virginia) about 10 months back. I used to purchase all My hardware from out of state dealers, and request to be charged the out of state sales tax just so the G & T show could'nt get my money.  I've been a registered voter since 18, pulled my first lever for Ronny Reagun.  God I miss him.  I'm a single issue voter, tax me to death, just don't take my guns.  "The tree of freedom must occasionaly be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots" I've been to the Md site, I think F4YR and I spun a thread there.  I love the reciprocity you guys have, no favorites.  "We hang together or we shall surely hang apart"

The Rifleman...hmmm, that reminds me of the time
I met Chuck Conners.

It was at a party in DC of
all places. He was very tall, I had allot to
drink and there was a gorgeous and rather well
endowed young lady wearing a see through blouse.

I like breasts, they're very nice...what is this
thread about again?

Congrats!

One more survivor that knew enough to get off the sinking ship.  I left this June for Pennsylvania.  I've got 2 friends that fled for up here as well, and 1 that went to Virginia.  Everyone is SO MUCH HAPPIER to be out of Merryland.  It's a real wake up, isn't it?  There's a whole world out here that isn't as F'ed up as Maryland.

I wrote a nice letter to the Sun telling them how after 11 years I'd had it with the crime, taxes and regulations.  My wife and I were taking our high incomes, our high taxes and my companies office to another state.  Adios.

Did that get published? Or did "Spenddenning's" propaganda machine hide the facts once again?

BTW: Welcome to the site Bossman! [beer]

I'm in the toney suburbs of Alexandria,Va.  Left a job in LE to take a job as Loss prevention Site Supervisor in a large garden apartment complex.  Not much excitement, but I live on the property for free, plus a salary.  Making out better than before actually.
