I would love to have this Springfield, however I can't afford it.

With that said, if you were going to do a build on something similar to this, what platform rifle is used with a M14 Chassis?

Would like to know all my options, if I could build something cheaper, if there is a way.

Chinese-made M14s, Norinco and Polytech, are actually really solid. Head on over to the M14 section of the forum and get alll your questions answered.

Ares, look into the Blackfeather RS chassis. It's supposed to be lighter, and you still have tons of room to mount stuff.
