Got a Mac book pro last year, over the last couple weeks the wifi will randomly disconnect. I have tried to look for fixes on this but haven't found one that works. Wifi isn't the problem since my iPad works and ps3 works. PC network problems I can fix, but Mac is outta my scope

Ours does that too when there is no one using it and it goes to"sleep".
Did not always do it. It started doing it after a software update awhile back. Does yours disconnect while it is awake/ in use?

It usually happens when my wife is idle on it. It's annoying hearing her complain about the wifi when it isn't the wifi

Mine does that if I haven't restarted it for a couple of weeks. The wifi won't connect after I wake it and I have to tell it to connect. A restart solves it for me.

Often that's caused by an incompatibility with the wireless router you have. I had that problem with my ATT UVerse routers built in wifi. Hooked up and old linksys and didn't have a problem. There's about a thousand threads on this on the apple support site.  Some things you can do are change the wireless channel, or even go and change your routers IP range from 192.168.x.x to 172.168.x.x.

I restart the router and the macbook.  that happens about 2 times a year.  Don't know if its my computer or router. hope that helps.

Apple Airport, and never give your router a second thought again.

Never happens to me, but all of my AP's at home are Cisco Aironet (which I'm not suggesting you buy and configure, obviously).

Maybe buy an Airport AP/Router. Your PC's will work just fine with it, too. *shrug*

I have Apple Airport and Air port Express ( I use the express for my Air Play - speaker system) but my macbook still looses wifi signal from time to time.

Off topic but the Airplay wireless speakers are great.

Tried the support page. It gets frustrating for her.  I may look into an airport this weekend to see if that will help it out.
