A lot of AR shooters want their nose against or really close to the charging handle. For them it would need to be moved forward until the proper eye relief is achieved. It all depends on how YOU 'mount the weapon' as to the optimum positioning to get the correct eye relief....and the length of pull your most comfortable with. |

Yes it is done properly. You do not want your scope to be bottoming out on anything (either turret ring, or adjustment ring area) It should be held completely by friction. When the rifle fires, the scope will "flex" (ever so slightly for a .223, but still) and if it's "bottoming out" on something it can change the way the scope vibrates. ETA GENERALLY I will balance the turret ring in the scope mount rings, but how it is in the OP is just fine, with a full Picatinny mount you can do all the eye relief stuff with the mount itself. |

I know nothing, but I'd move the scope back, away from the turrets, and move the mount forward for proper eye relief. yes, this.
