Meh, RP has already given up on making quality cigars, might as well go the Gurkha route and sell some gimmicks.

Have Rockys really gotten that bad? I used to smoke them a lot, especially their autumn blends.

IDK...I cannot fucking keep up with the amount of shit RP pumps out

It used to be, if it was a RP, you had about an 80% it would be a very tasty smoke...nowadays, that might be closer to 50%, partly because they make an incredible amount of blends near budget prices.

That said, the original Edge Maduros will always hold a special place in my heart and anytime I'm staring at my coolerdores scratching my head, I end up w/ an RP Sungrown

You know I'm not certain if they've gotten that much worse, or if I'm just pickier now. I used to like the Vintage 92s, but it just can keep interested in them. Ive heard they changed some of the blends, and I can't imagine they're really still rolling tobacco from '92.

RP went the way of Gurkha 2-3yrs ago

The last good cigar that he made was the Decade, and that was only good the first 3-6 months after it's release

Something in the blend changed IMO

That's not just Rocky either. I tend to buy in spurts and stock up my humidor and not need anymore for a while. Sometimes I go into the B&M after not stopping by for a while and it can be like a whole new place, I don't know wtf I"m looking at. Drew Estate has like 15 kinds of LPs now.

RP does that.

I still have a few original decades floating around, and they are not the same cigars as the decades now.

When The Edge came out, they were primarily sold in 100 boxes, but a few guys were getting 20 boxes in.

I split a box of 20 Edge Torp Maddies with a guy and My Fucking God were they strong and tasty!

When i burned all those up, I bought another box of torpedoes and they weren't even in the same class as the ones I had bought before; just a similar, but different cigar

I smoked the Edge Corojo's every day for about a year.

The maduros used to be good, but the last 2 or 3 that I had a couple of years ago were downright terrible.

Try the Cain 550 maduro...it's much better than the Edge maduro ever was

IDK about the rest of their offerings, but RP Edge Maduros are good humidor fillers for when you don't want to spring for a Liga Privada

Seems fitting to me, RP has long shit th bead as a brand. I've all but stopped buying his stuff as the quality is so all over the place so this isn't a surprise.
