I thought it would be good to make a thread where we can pass along some tips and tricks.

An electric knife works great also. |

With a bit of practice, you can count to 1024 on your fingers.
Binary, right hand thumb is LSB, left hand pinky is MSB. So 12 would be right hand ring finger (8) and right hand middle finger (4) extended. Adding 5 to that can be done by counting (toggling thumb and index finger, carrying to pinky), or by XOR+Carry (if you are an uber geek and can do an XOR in your head, easy with a lot of practice). |

Rubbing Alcohol or WD-40 will dissolve most adhesives left behind like from a sticker or bumper sticker...no need for Goo Gone or shit like that. You can get a dog to swallow a pill by placing it in the corner of his mouth, at the back of his tongue and then rubbing your hand down his throat (this makes them swallow)....save the peanut butter for party time. You can get a girl to swallow by placing 3 crisp $100 bills on the night stand. Peanut butter is hit or miss, fwiw. Fun shit to blow up at the range - save margarine tubs, fill with water, freeze and throw in cooler for the trip. Explode on contact, zero mess, fun for kids or first timers. Eggs work good too, or pieces of fat sidewalk chalk. For real skill, shoot paintballs off of toothpicks (need a scope and something accurate for this). |

Rub shaving cream (or most any soap, really,) on the bathroom mirror and polish it with a dry washcloth. It should be fog-free after your shower.
I like napthalene lighter fluid for removing adheasive residue (although if you peel the lable off slowly, chances are it'll come off intact. My mother has not been able to master this technique.) Trouble seeing the clean oil on your dipstick after you change it? Knock a little fine dust on the stick and try again. |
| On a Benelli M2 (probably similar on other models) if you shoot to an open bolt and you need to quickly reload, if you push the shell down into the loading port and quickly remove your fingers it will trigger the bolt release and you will not have to push the button to close the bolt. This removes any reason to put those gay oversize bolt release buttons on your Benelli. |

Quoted: Refill your gas tank when its half empty. It will result in better gas mileage and prevent the clogging of injectors due to sediments from the bottom of the tank. Wanna explain how hauling an extra 60-90lbs of fuel will results in better mileage? Also, the second part can depend greatly on the fuel pickup - some don't touch "bottom" and stay away from contaminates that may reside at the true bottom of a tank so "running out" will not result in the pickup of sediment (most of which should be filtered anyway). |

How are you holding your hands??? I would do it with right pinky is lsb, left pinky is msb.... |

I tend to look at my right palm, left back hand, so right hand thumb is rightmost, left hand pinky is leftmost. Once you have 0-31 memorized (pretty easy if you can already do hex to binary in your head), it is extremely fast, and can be subtle, for things like, oh... counting cards... Practice enough and you don't need your hands anymore, except as a visual cue to pull up later on. |
