Hopefully not a dupe.

Terrifying Find in Pond Leaves Spineless British Couple Seeking New Home

This is what you get when you indoctrinate people to believing firearms and anything related to them is bad, evil, dangerous, etc, etc.  Coming soon to a neighborhood near you thanks to the liberal buffoons that run our public schools and the media feeding frenzy on anything that can even be construed as negative about firearms.

It's funny, in a very sad way, to read the reactions of some Brits to finding things like bullets.

What a pussy.

Does he play with dolls and snuggle with care-bears too?

"the underwater search unit was unavailable", so you need a specialized unit to search a two and a half foot deep pond?

I bet his girlfriend cried for hours.  Oh the horror.

Look at all of those cops strutting around self importantly in their little uniforms.  Aren't they so cute?

I know a fighter pilot who flew during the Battle of Britain and beyond who would just shake his head when I would bring up the anti-gun laws Britain enacted in the decades after he left to live permanently in America based on his job.

Great guy, still alive but is in his 90's and has Alzheimer's now.

Brits are probably the most fearful people in the world. How do they even work up the courage to leave the house?

Shit it's happening here too man.  The entire world is getting taken over by limp-wristed mental midgets.

Someone should make a movie titled "2013 Kindergarden in crisis" and feature all of these girly-men that sit around and cry at the slightest amount of adversity.

That's my punishment for getting out of the house over the weekend.  But hey... I was at the range when it was posted so do I get a pass?

I had to double check to be sure that was not  "The Onion"

"Underwater search team" for a puddle in the back yard?   LMAO

Then I got to the part where they were tearing up the floor in the house "searching"  Sad.

WTF is 2.2mm, that would be tiny. And somebody should tell those police that most "machine gun ammo" is indistinguishable from deer hunting ammo, except that hunting ammo is often soft point and deadlier.

Wow, female copper, not guilty! Wondering why she is cleaning her hands inside her pockets. Never seen that before on a scene

Okay which one of our Brit members used to live there and dialed up the "lost in a tragic slip'n slide boating accident" thing to 11 just to troll these people and give the cops an excuse to call out the underwater search team?

Those looked like .22LR. Don't expect them to know the difference. The "machine gun ammo" in the picture looks like a handful of old .30 cal rounds.

So much DERP in this story, I thought it was an Onion article.

British police will completely disassemble a place looking for a stash of rusty flintlocks.  Guns and ammo in the hands of civilians are reviled and feared more than anything else in the world.

We have not evolved/advanced enough to turn into pussies who feel superior by being weak.  All we are doing is taking steps back, now.  We are still constantly fighting worldly threats.  Until this place has become safe, there is no room to grow weak.  But what's even more sad is that those who are, try their best to shame those who aren't.

ETA- it looks like it was mostly brass casings... I only see a few live rounds.

The couple dialled 101 and two officers arrived, quickly realised the seriousness of the situation, and called in CID officers who alerted the fire brigade to drain the ponds because the underwater search unit was not available.

Underwater search unit? Were they gonna put on their scuba gear and jump in?

We were planning to be in this house for years - now we want to move out as soon as we can.

What are they gonna do when they move into their next house and find an old Daisy air rifle target in the attic?

Safe: Despite the thousands of bullets that were found, the police did not feel the need to evacuate the couple

There were front page articles here in Ireland last week about some kids playing in the yard of a crackhouse and finding a sawn off shotgun.  It looked like a nice side by side before it was stolen and bubba fucked.  The parents were mad as hell some one left a loaded shotgun in the back shed.  Nothing was said about letting the kids play in the crackhouse.

Same week a post office was shut down and the police and bomb squad were called in for a package labeled ammunition.  After a few hours the ammo was found to be inert and perfectly legal to mail.
