Got home today and found the ac cycling high/low(condenser trying to kick in and out) but no fan moving. My guess is condenser was overheating and shutting on and off every 10 sec or so. Unit was hot and so was the house.

Cycled power to it and rather than cycle on and off like I found it there is just a low hum noise being made.

I made sure the fan was free spinning and all is good there.

It's a weather king and about 6 years old.

From what I've read its the fan or capacitor more than likely.

Any ideas?

I thinr you're correct.  Most likely the starting capacitor in the fan.  Cheap part.
