I have the chance to purchase one for $550
It's a factory riot gun (confirmed) Stocks have no cracks or major wear Bluing is original, 95% Made in 1923 It is a civilian gun, not military marked. Is $550 a good price on this? I need some quick feedback, as I told the guy I'd get back with him by 6am |

The 11 is a good gun with a brutal recoil. I bought both of mine for under $300 though Last one I bought was a field gun for $125 that I've since transformed into a Lloyd's barrow style whippet gun. I haven't seen too many civilian riot guns around lately, so I wasn't sure about price. $165 is an insane price for a gun of that condition. You stole that. |

Here's a pic of it. Still on the fence. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c284/springfield1911/10007444-F2CE-45D1-86B8-A7193792C6C8-470-000000436813ED99_zpscd949ed8.jpg that sure is a nice example, if original condition is verified. If you like it, buy it; it's got a lot of "cool" factor, for sure. |

That price is pretty fair for a factory riot gun.
What would $550 get you in today's market for a "factory new" semi-auto 12 gauge? Turkish made aluminum gun or ?? Its worth it, and sometimes the field guns can be had for less, but for the quality of steel and craftsmanship, they are well worth it and in my opinion will outlast most new guns. Buy it an enjoy it. It has collector value so If you want a range beater, get another field gun (usually can find them with a polychoke on them cheap here and there) and cut it down. |
