Was that the list price or did you offer 25% of the list price like most every other asshole on there? If you gave her list price, then good score, but if you talked her down, you should feel guilty for taking advantage. Nope, she asked for $40 and I broke that shit out with a quickness. |

Nothing wrong with a little negotiation, but there is making a deal and then there is practically stealing from someone that's having a bad time or in a bad situation . If she asked for $40, and it sounds like she did, then he's good go. If she asked for $120 and he lowballed the shit out of her and she took it because she was really in need, I'd say that's a pretty shitty thing to do. Or perhaps i'm no interested in using predatory tactics just to save a buck and take advantage of people. Looks like 2 people in this thread already are completely fine with that...better head to Wal-Mart and get your free pressure washer

It's really not that hard. |

I sell on Craigslist, and I build in the assumed price negotiations into my asking price. If someone asks for me to lower it too much, I just say NO. See? That isn't hard now, is it? |

Predatory? You need to read Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell. |

If she's willing to take $40, why do you care whether she originally asked for $40 or $120? How is an agreement between two people on a price remotely related to stealing a pressure washer? |

rdove, you should feel guilty for hanging around here and not buying at least a bronze. Freeloader. I've been a team member several times and the benefits do not equal the costs for me. And don't give me that freeloading shit, as a non-team member, I see all kinds of ads on this site in every thread. Arfcom is most likely making more money from me seeing those ads than they are on a $25 membership where I wouldn't see those ads. |

Hey, if you can get a staffer or someone in the know to send/post some hard numbers then by all means go for it. I'm confident in my position that I made them more than $25 a year, so technically I'm making more money for the site than you are. |

Yes..stealing a pressure washer = visiting a free website I guess you never go to any website on the internet you don't pay to access.
And since you asked, coercing someone to take a deal that isn't in their best interest = stealing. Con artists do it all the time. I'd really hate for my grandmother to run into any of you, you guys would give her $20 for her house and then come to arfcom to brag about how you got this 'great' deal from an old lady who doesn't handle confrontation well. You are a bunch of stand up guys. Anyway, I don't have a problem with the deal from the OP, sounds legit and I congratulate him on his score. And yes I realize he could have offered lower and she could have said no, but you guys need to get out of the basement more often, most people don't handle negotiation or confrontation well. I guess I get tired of seeing people act like vultures about things. In the OP's case based on the information he provided, even if she wanted $120 it sounds like $120 would have been a good deal still, but a lot of people don't stop there, they lowball you on something that is already priced to sell, its annoying. Anyway, i'm done with this thread, I know the people here can't see past themselves. |

When you subscribe it is guaranteed income, so you trade a potential loss for the guarantee, because they could make more money if you just bought it at the news stand, but its not guaranteed you will. Business how does it work? I visit the site often, so they probably make money from ads on me, but that's not the case for every non-team member. |
