WebViper is a good guy. Deal with confidence. No life basement dwellers will need to find another dead horse to beat. |

Quoted: Look at this pic from Brownells. The Windage markers are not filled in. http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/products/l_100011225_3.jpg http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/products/l_100011225_2.jpg Mine are filled in. |

The crooked lettering is present in both pictures. The same letters even.
Furthermore you are putting the cart in front of the horse if you committed to buy them and now you are having follow up q's/accusing the seller of possible fraud. You are a welch waiting to happen. ETA: Good feedback though. LOL

Look at your pics. The word industries is crooked the same way I'm EVERY pic. If one is legit, they all are imo. No one's going to fake that. |

If these sights are fake and represented as real, a commitment to buy is a moot factor. I am not looking for a way out. I HOPE they are real as they are a great deal, but before I sent the money I want to be sure. I did the transaction before I saw pics as I was on JRS and could not see pics. |

Take it to an EE mod. I sent a message to UAFGrad. FTR, I really hope the sights are real. I just am not going to shell the money out until I know for a fact they are. Once I have confirmation, funds will go out IMMEDIATELY. Hopefully I can get a hold of TROY in the morning as well |

Why would both the front and rear sights have the same cage number? Wouldn't they be different as they are different parts? Interesting. Anyone? Cage number applies to the company, Troy is 3EZ11 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commercial_and_Government_Entity_code |

Why would both the front and rear sights have the same cage number? Wouldn't they be different as they are different parts? Cage number should be the same. But I question front and rear having the same LOT number. Check with Troy on this, it is an easily answered question and a red flag for me. |

Good job OP. commit to buy something then ask a bunch of questions. They look real. Thanks for the great contribution to my thread. Even though you are trolling me I will respond like a gentleman so maybe you will learn something. I saw the Ad while I was surfing JRS from work. Pictures are not visible on JRS so I asked the seller if the sights were real. I took him for his word and committed on the deal. When I later saw the pictures, questions were raised. It will be simple. Tomorrow morning I will confirm with TROY if the sights are real. If they are, payment will go out within 24 hours of commitment as expected. If not, the deal is null and void for the seller selling fake merchandise. DISCLAIMER: I don't believe the seller is trying to defraud me. If the sights are not real, I don't think he knows. We will find out tomorrow. I was just hoping I could get confirmation one way or another with this thread. Thanks again for your amazing insight. |

UPDATE! THEY ARE REAL CONFIRMED BY TROY INDUSTRIES MANUFACTURED 1/2012 LOT NUMBER IS IDENTICAL BECAUSE MICRO SIGHTS ARE CREATED IN PAIRS LASER ENGRAVING IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE THE INTENSITY OF THE LASER ENGRAVER VARIES PAYMENT GOING OUT NOW Hello everybody - I'm the person who sold the Troy BattleSights to BrowardMason. I'm glad that he was able to verify with Troy Industries the authenticity of the item(s) I'm selling since I told him that I don't have the receipt or packaging anymore. I bought these sights from a reputable local gun store where I live. I know its hard to buy things online nowadays unless you're buying it from an authorized seller or direct from the manufacturer. I learned this the hard way myself... bought some Magpul XTM rail covers from another online forum only to find out that they are fake! Well, I took some close-up photos for everyone's enjoyment Have a great day everyone and hopefully this has not affected my integrity as a seller on this awesome forum.
