I want to pick up a scope tomorrow. I have narrowed it down to two Nikons. the M223 3-12x42SF or the P22 4-12x40.
Is It really worth the $150-$200 price jump for the M223? Thanks! I really want to pick one up tomorrow. I have had this itch for awhile now. |

Yes it's worth it. Different class of scope. Better glass, AR coating, etc, etc. You get what you pay for in glass. This is what I am thinking about..... have you used one? The M223 yes, not the other one. Unless you are used to peering through a Zeiss, Swarovski, or Leica, you'll be happy. Solid deal. More than clear enough and distortion free. Good size too. I hate it when dopes over-scope their guns. |

I think you will be fine based on magnification and objective, but I'm not an expert on optics. You might need a base or rings with a built in rise in it. I think Nikon makes a base for that scope with +20MOA built in, which might be a bit much for 400 yards. |
