Didn't see a dupe when I searched, according to IGN it looks like multiplayer capabilities are on PS+ only  . At least it's cheaper than MS Live.
IGN At its E3 press briefing, Sony confirmed that PlayStation 4 will require PlayStation Plus in order to play games online. This is similar to Microsoft's current approach to online gaming with Xbox Live Gold. At the same time, Sony also confirmed that you'll be able to play all single-player games as well as use all media services without subscribing to PS+. Your current PS3 membership will transfer over to PS4.

| If I buy into the next gen, it will be a PS4, even if the XBone is marginally more powerful. I have a 360 now, but I'll be damned if I'll buy a console that my brother or a buddy can't bring over one of their discs and play on. Fuck MS with a rusty anchor for that nonsense. |

That SOB got me hooked on Blacks Ops 2 then moved across the state. Now I can't get my zombie killin' fix!

| Yes, if it improves play I will gladly adopt the fee for it. I know PS+ now gives discounts and freebies every month, so it has that added to it too. Just get rid of P2P servers and it will be a win, but as much as I will be happy to buy one it won't be until next year sometime. |
