| I need to get a security camera setup for my shop. I share rent a building that has another tenant that has access to my side. Nothing I can do about that. So I am looking for cameras that would be motion activated, wireless to the main recording device. Are those features available? I need 4 cameras. Does anyone have experience with this type of setup? TIA |

One thing I'll say- some motion cameras are activated by IR sensors- I think these are better as you get far fewer false alarms.
A lot of companies, even with $1000 setups, will start recording when they see a certain percentage change in overall pixels. This is cheaper for them, and works very well in the daytime, but not so well at night. You're either recording everything (as there's some noise with all LED illuminated cameras at night) or you could adjust the sensitivity in the software too low and miss an important event. |

I would go with a Honeywell HRG45 DVR and 4 of their HD273 day/night cameras.
Nice thing is no comp needed, you can just clip copy right to a DVD. Edit, didnt read wireless, I have not done to much work with those but the few installs I have done have been with a Lorex 4 camera setup and so far have had no complaints about them for a sub 1k setup |

There's a home security forum that might have better info.
