Apple has launched the all-new iOS 7, featuring a radically overhauled interface, new Control Center, transparent animations and more. The new system will be available for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, the iPad 2, iPad third and fourth generation, the iPad mini and the iPod touch fifth generation, likely due to some of the more powerful needs of the new OS. |

![]() I fail to understand Arfcom's obsession with Apple, a Liberal fuck of a company with liberal users and dictated programs. Because iOS is a really simple OS and it really doesn't give much flexibility to how you can set it up which means it's nearly impossible to fuck up. The average ARFcommer is a 40-50 year old dude who isn't confident with technology. |

I love how we've become so polarized in recent years, that a fucking mobile operating system is tied to politics. ![]() It's getting comical, at this point.

![]() I fail to understand Arfcom's obsession with Apple, a Liberal fuck of a company with liberal users and dictated programs. I fall into that category, I'm 50. In my experience all my Apple shit works without any undue drama. I have Mac laptops, iPads, iPhones and a Mac network, all of that stuff works, no issues. Before I switched to Macs I was a PC owner, I was constantly fixing all my stuff, network, phones, laptops, you name it and I was constantly trying to get it un-fucked. I don't really love the company but I love the fact that I don't waste my valuable time trying to keep my shit up and running. |

I only have an iPad2 instead of an Android tablet because I bought it for my Dad and inherited it after he died, since my brother had already bought himself one... |

The only thing I hate with Apple is frigging iTunes |

There are plenty of people in the IT industry and out of that age range that use them. Most of the people that I work with ( in IT, mostly under 40 and gun lovers) use iPhones. They work. |

I've got better things to do than defend what damn phone I use. Goodness.

The average ARFcommer is a 40-50 year old dude who isn't confident with technology. I'm more than confident with technology, at 41 years of age, but I want shit to work. I started out on Windows 3.11 and have used W95, W97, W2000, WXP, and now W7. I've also dabbled with Linux, owned two Android phones and one Android tablet. IMO, after owning Android devices and playing with countless others, I decided to give the iPhone 5 a try because Android is buggy as hell. This laggy buggy bullshit was on a clean non-rooted device with few apps. My Samsung Galaxy S3 was crappy and so is my Acer A500. Browsing the net after 30 minutes sends those two devices into information overload. I can browse all kinds of shit on the iPhone and never lag. Sure the iPhone seems dated and missing a lot of features, but since I'm mostly concerned about texting, talking, browsing, and checking e-mail, the iPhone is perfect. I attribute the Android lag and other problems to hardware that can't keep up. It's like trying to install Windows 7 on a Pentium 4 with 1 GB of RAM. It might run great for a few weeks but then turn to shit when you add programs and try to multitask. |

It's sad when a person's identity is so closely tied to a particular widget or company, etc.

Quoted: It's a gizmo. I don't understand the hate over a piece of tech. Use what you like and leave others to do the same. Because LIBERALS! And Obama! I have no idea what this means, but it comes up often when discussing operating systems, so I figured I'd throw it out there.

It's getting comical, at this point. So true. It's also funny how pissed people get over who chooses to use what OS/phone/car/handgun/etc... |

I guess I'm all sorts of fucked up. |

So is Ben and Jerry's ice cream, but I bet you'd eat the fuck out of it if given the chance. Not the steely-eyed, brass-balled Ideal 'Merkins we have in GD, nossiree. Nothing tastes sweeter than using inferior products to maintain that all important moral high ground! |

Did they finally get around to adding text reflow? I'm ready for a new phone. No text reflow is the only thing keeping me from owning an iphone. -J ? Text automatically wraps. Other than that, i'm not sure what you're asking. On just about any Android device if you zoom the screen the text will we re-flow or re-wrap. Text will run to the edge of the screen and then reformat downward. On every iphone I've messed with including my wife's 4s when you do this the zoomed text runs off the side of the screen. Browsing with android is simply scroll down. Browsing with an iphone is left, right, down, left, right, down. It's a minor issue for sure, but one I find supremely irritating. -J |

Quoted: No mention of fixing the "iOS burns out wi-fi hardware on the phone" bug? I'll let everybody else upgrade and wait for the .1 version thanks. That is, if I can get over the childish colors they changed everything to. WTF is this, 16 big color land? http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US |
