GSL is right read the books, you will appreciate the series a lot more, the HBO series puts faces to the characters in your mind but does butcher the storyline quite a bit leaving out details the books provide, I certainly understand that details are left out to make the episodes a hour long. Big fan of George Martins work hope he lives long enough to finish the series

I managed to knock out Rainbow 6 in two weeks, but that was on a deployment.... at my 3rd grade reading level, finishing Game of Thrones would take me a lifetime.
