I've done this for about a week and I am completely wiped out. I don't know how those people do that without taking as many breaks as I do. The people on the DVD continue to do the workout almost nonstop though out the enitre thing. After about the first 10 minutes I'm pausing the DVD so I don't have a heart attack.

I thought I was in semi-decent shape before this, I jogged a couple miles a week and lifted twice a week, but this just absolutely kills me. And some of the workouts are not so long, like in the 35-40 minute range.

Anyone else do this?

I get the feeling I going to start eating like crazy as my metabolizism goes up and just gain all the weight back.

If you like Insanity, you will LOVE CrossFit...

I'm on my second round of Insanity now. I agree, it does kick your ass even if you are in good shape. I remember after my first round of Insanity (completed all workouts) I was in the best cardio shape of my life by far.

The people in the workout videos are fitness models, do it at your own pace. The workouts in month 2 are longer, but you will have built yourself up by them. It does get a little easier (not much).

Did he not just steal the idea from P90X?

Not really, they are different type of programs. Insanity is HIIT cardio training with 3 minute intervals. P90X incorporates weights and "muscle confusion" if you buy that.

I think PX90 has weights. Insanity, to my knowlege thus far, doesn't. That makes it ideal for a guy in my situation.

If you think Insanity is hard, try the Asylum program that Shaun T. does. It's like Insanity with weights

Did you know Shaun T. is married to a man?  Insanity kicks my ass, fun workouts though.

The first time I tried it I almost died....or felt that way.  I am not overweight but my cardio was lacking due to smoking and a lack of exercise.
