I enjoy watching Dooms Day Preppers... Why I see it as pure entertainment.. Some of their ideology seems way off base. Although some preppers in my opinion are right on with the possible threats that I believe could happen. I am not a prepper and I for sure do not have stock piles of food or water.
What I am wondering is if someone would be a prepper which AR would you not have for security? Which AR manufacture has the worst image on quality and reliability issues? |

most guns made within the last 15 years are going to hold up to a preppers needs. Even the prepper who has 1000's of rounds still is small contrast to militarys who field weapons for years in training and combat from soldier to soldier. Look at the bolo mausers they symbolize the chinese use up their arms.
If a preppers wetdream explodes tommorow chances are hi his olympic or carbon bushmaster would last while he squeezed off the 2000 rounds he had in inventory. |

I have a DPMS Oracle, its been excellent so far, but if i were to go by the opinions/facts of most guys here I should start looking into something a couple tiers above if thinking about a "real" SHTF rifle..not to mention +10 k ammo...in contrast to the measly <1k I have so far...  It's a start..Ill get there sooner or later

Just find the nut job prepper in your neighborhood and become good friends. Then when the SHTF blast him with your two shotgun shells from your balcony and what was his is now yours...
