I've just had enough of the Shooter and cop bashing threads related to the situation around DC.  I figured a good Israel thread would be refreshing about now.

Maybe the sniper learned his trade in the IDF.

Paging Mr. The Hun, Mr. The Hun, please pick up a white curtsey phone.

Seriously, what about Israel?  They're doing their usual, which is good.  A Tel Aviv cafe security guard caught a Palestinian trying to blow up the US embassy - but my question is, what's a Cafe Security Guard?

A Cafe Security Guard is something we will get far too familar with here in the US if they start doing suicide bombing attacks several times a week here...

Its only a matter of time. Invest in companies that make handheld or walk thru metal detectors. We will, I think, see them in every resturant and movie house in the not too distant future.

A Cafe Security Guard is what is required when the peace loving Muslims want to make a point.
For all those that bash Israel:
Israeli schools have guards
palestinian schools don't
What does that tell you?

Garrison: ERIC! Did you just say the "F" word?
Cartman: Jew?

I'm not really a fan of either country, but I would like to make a point in Palestien's defense.  To single out Muslims for being violent is wrong, when Israel was settled it wasn't discussed with crumpets and tea.  There was bloodshed and there always will be on both sides of the fence.  Hell, I know if someone came, took my land and made me a second class citizen in my own country I wouldn't sit around and say "Damn, well that sucks, lets bake cookies".  I would be out for blood.

Yea, I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but someone has to help Palestein, no one else is.

Maybe the sniper is that moron from GlockTalk last night. Kept talking about having his two "issued" Uzis while he was trying to get illegal advice on how to buy a handgun in England without "police interference".....

I think it was the embassy security guards that cornered the would-be bomber and disarmed him. The US Embassy was nearby.

Let's say we owned Antarctica in its current state.  Then some dudes started moving there who called themselves "Jews".  A few years later the whole damn place is farmland and we suddenly "remembered" how much we liked Antarctica and started sending guys over there to blow themselves up, and complained about how they oppresed us and took our land.  Similar situation except that the Palistinians never owned anything in the first place.

Let's say enough pro gunning freedom lovers migrated to a specific area of this country and then declared independence from the US amid growing persecution of us.  The US declares WE are the bad guys and sends in suicide bombers to blow up our kids at school and clubs and bus stops.  Who are the bad guys?

SNorman, while the Israelies have turned Israel into a impressive spot compared to what it was, it was a home to some people.  People who are now shoved into crummy refugee camps.  If we, gun owners kicked people out of their homes to make our own land it would be wrong.  Land is the last thing people should be able to take away from you.

As for the whole topic of suicide bombers, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.  One, Palestein dosn't get a bunch of government cheese to upgrade their army, so they rely on civilians.  Two, yes its a shame innocents die in the on going war between the two nations.  Don't be mistaken and think its not a two way thing.  The Israelies don't exactly have the best track record of not harming ordinary civilians.

For all I care they could nuke each other and let that be that.  Both countries have their downfalls, but because America gives Israel so much money, I have to be biased.  We need to stay out of fights which arn't our own.

The Palestinians have no claim to the land, they have a homeland its called Jordan. Itts funny nobody cared about the West bank when Jordan had it. The Palestinians have had 50 years to assimilate into Arab culture, but the Arab world needs them as martyrs, a media diversion to divert blame off the oppressive autocratic Arab Govts that keep their people
impoverished and uneducated.
If Israel needs to do whatever is necessary to hold onto its little slice of the desert, so be it.
Whats the Arabs motto? we attacked you for no reason ,other than ur not muslim, u kicked our ass over and over but we want our land back

From what I understand, non Jews were allowed to stay if they wished.  Most left at the request of other Arab countries who then screwed them and sandwiched them in the middle.  Back to the analogy, let's say all liberals left for the motherland, and then constantly complained that we kicked them out.  Dunno.  I do agree on a hands off approach as well though.
