I would assume that the serial number would be in the same place as an AR-15, but don't know for sure.

If so, unless he shopped it, the does not appear to be any serial number on that lower.

Maybe the SCAR has it somewhere else.

SCAR 17s and 16s serial numbers are on the upper receiver.

The lower is nothing more than a piece of plastic. These are just aftermarket lowers designed to take a different type of magazine.

Perfectly legal.

ok, thanks for the info, i was just assuming they were similar to a AR.

FYI to anyone looking at the Handl lowers do some research on them at fnforum.net first... there's some issues with last round hold open that haven't been worked out yet.
