The police car was westbound on busy Savidge Street, driving in the
left-turn lane with lights and siren on to pass other westbound traffic,
when it struck a northbound  white minivan in the Lake Avenue
intersection, according to witnesses.

The police officer was
heading to another accident reported in front of the McDonald's
restaurant in the 400 block of Savidge Street, where a vehicle and a
motorcycle reportedly crashed.
