Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I actually prefer GD more. ![]() There's a lot of bullshit in the tech forums about MIM. If you are referring to Metal Injection Molding, that is because it sucks. +1 Agreed..... Please... all the people posting that have minimal knowledge about the process and it's results (when done right). |

But I know that's not the case because I actually own a shop that does both vacuum and lost wax casting, everything from jewelry to industrial parts......That's one of the businesses my family owns. ..Anyways, MIM still sucks on BCGs. |

I was referring to the non-sense about MIM LPK parts, redundant I know, and other odd and end parts. For a while, I worked at a mega-corp doing stress-analysis/fea on all kinds of MIM parts. Some were fairly trivial like latches and what not out of various aluminum alloys. Whereas others were critical engine parts, out of Inconels, titaniums, stainless steels, and Hastelloy X. The end result is great. |

I mistakenly thought you were talking about the infamous BCG thread and the ever changing stories and denial from the manufacturer..epic stuff. |
