It's a good OS with a transitional GUI that probably shouldn't have been a fixed default. Microsoft made a significant miscalculation regarding the ability of the average user to adapt to anything beyond cosmetic changes.
Follow the advice about classic shell and you'll be fine. There are a number of significant improvements in the OS if you are inclined to move beyond the start button and your desktop shortcuts. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
| They screwed up windows 8 for us average users, no question. However, I really have learned to work around the major issues and it seems to work fine for me now after 2 months. One major pain in the ass is my laptops touch pad, my hands touch the pad and will activate the start screen while typing (I normally stay in desktop mode).....adjusting the pad settings does not help so I have to turn the pad off and use my wireless mouse which is better anyways. Its really stupid that we should have to adapt ourselves in order to use Win 8, its 2013 and you'd think MS would be better at knowing what works by now........ I hate them, they make too much money to be this incompetent. |

my thoughts , how about downgrading to w7? can this be done with all processors , rom bios ? can i use old computer user#/ owner code from my current laptop for win 7 recovery disk ? will it update ? why the fuck does my 2 year old laptop {lenovo g550 with w7 now cost 2fucking times what i paid for mine 2+ years ago ? what fucking asshole big shot approved this syphilitic cock sucking ass fucking ,shit eating clusterfuck of software madness ? plus there talking about win8.1 blue and the cocksukers will let you up update there shitstain pos w8 for the low onetime price of $49. fuck them ,. the young assfucks who created this fucking shit should be put in a time out till a adult has the smarts to replace this with something called windows 10!!! , eta i am not a tablet or touch screen user . also who can fix the hinge on my lenovo laptop ? why cant any manufacturer of any laptop make a fucking hinge that lasts more than 2 years .the last 3 laptops i have owned all failed due to fucked hinges turning them into reactive targets . You can either downgrade to what you're comfortable with, or (if your capable of it) you can learn something new.
In order to downgrade legally, you'll probably need to go find/buy a copy of Windows 7. You cannot legally use the copy of Win7 from a different computer, and the recovery disks from a different computer will almost certainly not work. |
