Quoted:
The spotlight on fracking is a red herring. We've been doing it for 50-60 years. No problems. But never near the Wonderful City of Sleaze, aka New York City. You can frack in all forty-nine other states without any complaints, but get into New York and the world is threatened with destruction. |

They live in another world, yet a lot of people listen to them.
The problem is that that "other world" is one of their creation, and that world is projected on the Silly Screen, where mindless potbots watch and drool over them, believing that they are the "real world." |

Around here there is a huge fight over the sand mines that land owners want to open. Silica sand has been mined around here for years, it's just in the past couple of years that the demand for fracing sand has brought it to the attention of the useful idiots. There was a land owner that wanted to build a washing and rail car loading plant. It was to be across the highway from the local school, you could see it from there but it would have been close to a mile from the school building with a swamp between the 2 Well, the 1st thing the antis scream is "The plant will pollute the school wells!!!!!1111!" I asked one of them How? The swamp between the 2 is directly connected to the Missifuckingsippi river, it's not like they will be able to drain the drain the whole river. They couldn't answer that so the next argument was "The sand trucks will run over the students!!!!!" The school is better than 300 yards from the highway. the thousands of other cars, trucks, and semis haven't caused any deaths why would one truck with sand? Well, they weren't making any progress with me so she kicked back into the fall back of "You just don't understand!!!" and stomped off. |
